Associated Groups
These are groups that are closely linked to OICCU that may interest our members.
OK Club
The OK Club is a Christian youth club in Kilburn north-west London set up by OICCU 50 years ago. We help out at their Friday evening club for kids aged 8-12 each week, and always need more volunteers. More details are available on the OK Club pages here!
RTSF
RTSF (the Religious and Theological Studies Christian Fellowship) meets every other Monday in St Peter's College, from 1pm til 2pm. It is particularly for Theology or Philosophy and Theology undergraduates, but anyone with an interest in academic theology is welcome. We are evangelical and are part of UCCF.
Each session we have a guest speaker who will talk about a particular area of importance for Christian Theologians or PhilThe students, helping them often to approach difficult areas from an evangelical Christian point of view. Most recently, Dr David Wenham came from Wycliffe Hall Oxon to talk about the relationship between Paul and Jesus (e.g. why Paul never refers to any of Jesus' miracles etc.)
For more information please e-mail Mike or visit the RTSF website.
Lawyers' Christian Fellowship
A group for student lawyers in Oxford with a heart for God's justice and desire to support each other in the study of law and finding His will for our lives, the law and the nations. For more information, contact Laura Scott at Brasenose.
Christians in Sport
Christians in Sport is a missionary organisation with a vision to see Christians in every sports club, representing Christ and building the Church. The Oxford University Christians in Sport group has three aims:
-
To reach the world of sport for Christ;
-
To support, encourage and build up Christian athletes;
-
To pray for team mates, play in a way that honours God, and say something about the great news of Jesus.
For more information, contact Katharine Smart at St Anne's.
