International Welcome
International Welcome (or 'iWelcome' for short) will be happening during -1st Week of Michaelmas Term (this year 21st - 27th September (2008)). Volunteers from OICCU put on yellow T-shirts and help to welcome international students to Oxford, by meeting them off the airport buses at the bus station.
The main aim of International welcome, is just that, to welcome, help, and befriend international students as they arrive in Oxford, sometimes for the first time, and often not knowing where to go. This is for us a practical way of serving international students in Oxford, and showing them the love of Christ. We hope our initial contact will go on to be genuine friendships between british and international students.
