Hi, I'm Mark, I'm a Maths & Computer Science student and I'll be Merton's CU rep for this year. Merton CU is a group of Christians who meet up together regularly in college to read the Bible, pray and encourage each other to live and speak for Christ. We're part of the Oxford Inter-Collegiate Christian Union (OICCU), which is a great way to meet Christians from other colleges!
We meet each week on a Wednesday, alternating between a Merton CU bible study and an OICCU central meeting. The college meetings are at 20:00 in St Albans 2:1, and the central meetings are at 20:00 in Wesley Memorial Church. We also meet each week for a college prayer meeting, currently at 08:00 on Friday morning in St Albans 2:1.
In fresher's week we'll be having a lunch for anyone interested in CU on Wednesday at 12:30 in the MCR - aso do come along to that! Also on the Sunday at the end of fresher's week we're having a "church breakfast" at 09:30 in St Albans 2:1, so if you're wanting to go to a church in Oxford, but don't know where to go, this is for you.
