Regent's Park College Christian Union

Welcome!!

Thank you for taking the time to click your way to this page! The Regent's CU is for anyone, Christian or non-Christian, who wants to find out more about Jesus and the Christian faith in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. If you are a fresher coming up to join the Regent's Community this coming year then please know that you are very welcome with us, and we are here to help you in any way that we can as you settle into college and university life.

Regent's CU meets every Wednesday evening, alternating between meeting in college (1st, 3rd, 5th & 7th weeks) and with all the other colleges at the central meeting of OICCU (the Oxford Inter-Collegiate Christian Union, 2nd, 4th, 6th & 8th weeks). College CU is a chance to get together in a relaxed atmosphere (we meet in the nice and cosy college chapel!) to study the bible, worship, and support and encourage one other in prayer. We are committed to telling others (particularly in college) about the joy of having a personal relationship with Jesus and to praying for Oxford and the needs of the wider world. We also try to help out in the local community where we can (we sometimes take food to the homeless folk in the town and build relationships with them). Regent's is home to a lot of theologians but we also have a lovely mix of other subjects, and our aim in the Bible Study times is to focus on what we can all learn together and how we can apply it to our lives. Another big appeal of our CU is that most of our budget seems to be spent on food!....

We’re all very excited about meeting new freshers and praying for God to do tremendous work among us in the coming term. We’d love you to come and share that with us!

Best wishes,

Joel, Jon and Kathryn

P.S. Please feel free to get in touch with us at the above email addresses if you have any questions. We have loads of information and leaflets available on all the good churches and Christian groups that exist around Oxford, as well as a college library. Please ask Jon if you want to borrow any of these, and if you find a book that you want to give to a friend then you can take it off us for free!
