Churches in Oxford
Below is a list of churches that we can recommend to you, along with their websites where you can get more information. Most of these churches run a course investigating Christianity, so please have a hunt around if you're not a Christian and would like to know more.
Don't forget to come to the 'Search for a Church' event which is happening on Saturday 0th week (6th October '07) which will include an introductory talk from Vaughan Roberts, a time of praise, and plenty of opportunity to meet with and talk to different people from the various churches.
- St Aldate's
A large church seating about 500 for each service. Services at 10.30am, 6.00pm and a new late service at 8.15pm every Sunday, with good numbers of students at both. A little way out of the city centre, still within walking distance of most colleges. As well as the Sunday morning service (10.30) an important part of OCC are the Cell groups, held on either Tuesday or Thursday evenings each week (though don't forget CU on Wednesdays!) If you're a Christian, we encourage you to try and settle in a church quickly. Many colleges will arrange for you to be able to try several churches with other CU members in your first few weeks.
