Who are we?

Hi there! We are a community of Christians who come together regularly for prayer, bible study, fellowship and mutual encouragement, and who seek to share the Good News of Jesus with our fellow students. Whether you are a Christian or just interested in finding out more about Christianity you are very welcome to come along to our events, discussions, talks and teas! If you would like to know more about us, what we do and what we believe please drop us an email at either joseph.ammoun@seh.ox.ac.uk or thomas.johnson@seh.ox.ac.uk , and we'd be happy to answer your questions. Alternatively, check out 'Teddy Hall Christians' on Facebook and drop us a message... If you are a fresher, congratulations on being accepted to the Hall! We look forward to meeting you soon and do feel free to get in touch!

What do we do?

Saturday prayer brunch - come along to brunch at 11am in the wolfson. After we've woken up and eaten our fill we will head to the music room so that we can pray together for each other's needs, for our college and for God to be glorified.

Sunday Morning pre-church meetup - Starting on an experimental basis this coming Michaelmas term, we will be meeting up each morning before church - drinking some coffee, catching up with each other and inviting any friends who would like a bite to eat or a chat! More details to come...

Join us every even week wednesday at 7.15pm when we will meet for Bible study, prayer and fellowship as a community of Christians to encourage each other in our fellowship and grow in our knowledge and love of God. We will meet in the Emden Rooms off the front quad.

And join us on odd week wednesdays, everyone will meet together for equipping in evangelism, group worship and Bible teaching, with time in college groups for discussion, planning and prayer. We'll meet at the Lodge at 7.40pm and head over to the meeting place for 8pm.

Invite your friends and come along to Explore - an opportunity to find out what Christians believe and ask questions. More details to come...

Hi there! I'm a 3rd (and final) year student, reading modern History and Politics. I hail from a small sea side town called Bexhill (1066 country) just down the road from Hastings. My hobbies include table tennis, writing (bad) poetry, playing pool and singing in the Teddy Hall choir. I love to chat over a pint (beer or coke) about any possible subject - politics, philosophy, faith, college life - and spend most of my time in college - either in the games room, common room, library or bar. I have been a christian since April 2006, and since then have come to understand ever more the depth of the mercy God has shown me in the rescuing death of Jesus. I am always available to talk and would love to hear from you - whatever your beliefs and however long you've been at Teddy Hall!

Starting uni, meeting new people and making new friends can be a pretty daunting experience (it was for me), but it is also a great opportunity (if you are a christian) to grow in your love for and trust in Jesus, and (if you don't know what you think about God) to find out more and get the chance to seriously think over important questions alongside other young and intelligent people.

Hello, I'm doing English Literature, and I am in my 2nd year now. Normally I live in the sunny (not really) area of England near the Lake District - Cumbria. However, I do not have a strong northern accent (although I would like to have one). Feel free to email me if you want to meet up and chat about anything. Also, if you feel like building some penny towers, find me, and we can do that too - trust me, it is fun.

The last year was a fairly steep learning curve for me, but God has done amazing things in college, and by leaning on him all the time, we pray that great things will keep happening.
