Welcome to Somervile College Christian Union

Hello from Somerville College CU!

We are quite a small, friendly group of Christians who meet weekly to study the Bible, encourage one another, and just have some fun together!

We come from a variety of backgrounds but meet together in unity to study God's Word, discuss ideas and issues, give each other inspiration and encouragement for evangelism, and to pray for each other and our college.

If you're coming to Somerville in October it would be great to hear from you and answer any questions you have about being a Christian in Oxford.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

When We Meet?

• Monday mornings: 8am at New Road Baptist Church for Central Prayer meeting.
• Tuesday mornings: 8.15-8.45ish college prayer meeting in Chapel, a great opportunity to meet together so we can pray for our college and each other.
• Odd Wednesdays: we meet as a College group somewhere in college to study the Bible, share prayer requests, bscuits and to pray for each other.
• Even Wednesdays: we meet with all the other Colleges from the University, at St Aldates Church for worship, a talk on a Bible passage and discussion.
• We are planning to start a prayer breakfast on Sundays before church in Michaelmass as well as some special events for freshers week.
